Hi girls, I was just rummaging through some of my stuff, and I found these rather sweet poems I cut out from the newspaper many years ago (approx 7).

Just thought I would share ;)

Paradisal

In my heart there is so much love I have for you

There is joy that surpasseth understanding in all that you say and do

True and sincere love only comes once in a life-time

It is beyond crushes grapes that is turned into fine wine

God knew what he was doing when he moulded you with his hand

Of all the world’s women, you are your own distinctive brand

Mine yes are never tempted to look to another

With your love and grace I have no need to bother

Your beautiful smile and your graceful eyes

Reveals your humility and truth and assures – there are no lies

With such a blessing God granting me, you, in my life

How can I ever desire someone else to be my wife

God’s joy and peace is a real spiritual truth

And your love for me quivers like the strings of the lute

The epochs of us becoming so intertwined as one

Is as resplendent as the bright morning sun!

  
Two Hearts Became One

Two hearts weary and wondering forty plus years

On so many occasions – were sorrows and bottles of tears

In the darkness of nights and sun-filled days

These two hearts were on very different pathways

Responsibilities and duties kept them through the grind

Others could never know, their hart-aches and troubled minds

Individually they wondered, what was their portion in life?

To live with despair, fear, contempt and strife

God’s mysteries, the Lord brought them together

In amazement, love struck, and they began to wonder

Was this the beginning of clear roads to new and better days?

Was this new dawn, the horizon for true love, sunshine and rays?

As the days and months went by, they came to realize

Certainly, the Lord set boundaries to tribulations and trials

So now this “Eros” has made these two-hearts “one”

God’s miracles and mysteries is most certainly done

With tears of joy and hearts filled with “Agape” love

We say, thank you! Thank you! To the Lord above!

Precious Moments

The day my heart fell in love with you

I often wondered, was it too good to be true?

But as the days, week and months went by

I certainly, but surely came to realize,

That this kind of love, is so deep and true

I can only say with all my heart, thank you,

My sweetheart, I say to you with all my heart

Never, never, never, do I want us to be apart

The void and emptiness that plagued my life

I look for the day to call you my wife,

So just as roses are red and violets are blue

With all my heart, I'm in love with you!
