Beauty Tip Friday

Hi my beautiful gals...

Every Friday, I would like to have a
"Beauty Tip Friday" post...

Seeing that Friday evening is practically the beginning of a  weekend where we girls can pamper ourselves...I would like to leave you with a interesting thought or a quick tip that can help or that you can try over the weekend.

So hope you would enjoy these little tips and I look forward to hearing from you :)

Beauty Tip Friday:

Exfoliation helps replenish the required oils of the body and removes dry, dead skin cells and dirt from the face. Try to exfoliate at least once or twice a week.

While regular skin cleansing is clearly beneficial, exfoliating on a regular basis -- once or twice a week for mild exfoliation, once or twice a month for more intense treatments -- can improve the results of your skin care routine and help rejuvenate your skin. Whether you have dry, normal, oily or sensitive skin, exfoliation can bring new life to your complexion.

Here is a simple recipe to try for home exfoliation:

Products needed:
1 clear plastic jar
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
Lemon juice (optional)
Scented essential oil (optional)

Directions:

Mix the sugar and olive oil in the plastic container.  I do not recommend using a glass jar for this, since you will most likely have this in your bathroom.

Add any optional scents you like. It is said that adding peppermint oil can help to refresh you, while lavender is more soothing.  I can't seem to find any of these essential oils in Trinidad except peppermint oil.

To use: place some on a wash cloth and rub in circles anywhere you need exfoliation… Or you can use your hands.
After letting this mixture sit for awhile the sugar may settle to the bottom, so it may be necessary to shake this up a little before using next time.
