I have wanted to try the Clari sonic cleansers ever since I heard about them on youtube, unfortunately we don’t get it here in Trinidad...if we do, I haven't seen any.
So one day while shopping in Pennywise, while looking for a good Neutrogena cleanser I spotted this bright pink thing
which had a big "NEW" tag written on it under the Neutrogena...

Well when I decided to purchase this…I was not yet smart enough to first check reviews online before purchasing a product. (this was about 2 years ago)

My Experience with this Product
My face feels smooth and clean after using it. I have
combination skin with very oily T-zone.
The original deep clean foaming pads that come along with
this pack has an amazing scent.
I believe it penetrates into the pores removing dirt, oil
& makeup…but honestly I think using a homemade sugar scrub exfoliates and
gives you about the same amount of smooth clean soft feeling, and removes your
dead skin cells.
The cleanser is water resistant so you can use it in shower
as well don’t have to worry about dropping it in a sink full of water !!
Targeting different skin problems, they have started a
different range of cleansing pads like blackhead eliminating pads,
shine-free-blemish-free pads, deep clean exfoliating pads etc…but I never tried
any other than the original.
The Cons of the Deep Clean Foaming Pads
- The pads don’t lather easily creating very mild foam. It has been said that, if you let the water run over the cleansing pad for almost 2-3 mins it will activate the cleansing ingredients entirely foaming better…I tried this but still didn’t get the amount of foam I was looking for.
- Considering that you must use a new foaming pad each time, I think this product is expensive to maintain.
- The cotton of the cleansing pad gets stuck to the bristles of the attachment head which is always a pain to remove.
- Surprisingly, there was no mention in the instructions of how long you are supposed to use it on you face…and being a first time user of such a product I had no idea how long to use it for so I ended up using it for around 1-2 minutes.
Would I repurchase ?
I don’t feel the need to repurchase the cleanser in itself since it’s a durable product however it has been such a expensive product to keep up with, that I haven’t used this much in the two years I’ve had it. Sad but true.
